Students from North Georgia College and State University's Foundations in Leadership course dedicated the Fall 2008 semester to creating and implementing a huge number of projects designed to raise awareness of the importance of the trails to our community. Students built a compost bin, designed an outdoor classroom, planned and coordinated a huge "Night Hike" event, created an art in the park project, developed trail discovery packs that can be checked-out at the library, held a trails photography contest, and produced a host of videos about the trails about what they mean to our community. More than one thousand amazing students volunteered their time to these and other projects.
